Skyline Contracting Builds Its Community Involvement with Trojans Football Sponsorship
At Skyline Contracting, we see our role as a local business as much more than just building roofs. While we believe our work is important, it’s also important to our team to support community initiatives in our area. After all, as local roofers, Gainesville is our home, too—and making our community better carries personal importance to each one of us.
Our team supports various youth sports teams throughout the Gainesville, GA area, including sponsorships for the local baseball team and regular volunteer coaching. Recently, we began sponsoring the 8U and 11U Junior Trojans football teams. Our hope is to help make these teams more accessible for parents and enable players to gain the valuable benefits youth sports provide. Supporting the 8U and 11U Junior Trojans
The Skyline Contracting team has contributed our support to the 8U and 11U Junior Trojans football teams. These teams carry a personal connection for us, as the sons of Skyline Contracting owner Wes Hall and his wife Lauren play for this team.
As we are also Partners in Education to Mt. Vernon Exploratory School, sponsoring these football teams also enables us to further support the students in attendance.
Expanding a Skyline Contracting Tradition
At Skyline Contracting, support for youth sports is a longstanding tradition. Our company has sponsored other teams in the past, including sponsoring a local baseball team. According to Owner Wes Hall, “We began this around 5 years ago with youth sports as far as sponsor dollars go. Team members have been volunteering as coaches in various local sports organizations for 8 years now.”
Those team members spend time volunteering as coaches of various teams across many age levels, including sports like football, baseball, soccer, and more.
As a family-owned business, many of our team members have families of their own. Support for these teams enables us to not only be more involved in our kids’ lives, but also to support their friends and our neighbors.
A Key Part of Our Community
We believe youth sports are vital to our community here at Skyline Contracting. Playing on sports teams instills important values in the players that participate, helping to provide them with lessons and attributes that will last both on and off the field.
According to Wes Hall, sponsoring these teams is about ensuring more families can have their kids gain the benefits of playing sports. “Sponsoring these local programs can help lessen the financial burden to the players and their families, and volunteering our time to train and teach the young athletes can reinforce strong character values into each player.”
For Wes, these values are particularly important to the team in providing this sponsorship. “As with any team we support we hope to bring our core values and faith forward to help advance the young athletes on and off the field,” said Wes. “These character values are life lessons that will last longer than their time on the field.”
Bettering the Community Around Us
In addition to youth sports teams and initiatives, our team at Skyline Contracting has supported various organizations throughout the Gainesville area. That includes support for organizations that are important to our company as a whole and that individual members of our team have a personal interest in.
Our sponsorships, donations, and volunteer efforts have included lending our services to well-known nonprofit organizations like Habitat for Humanity.
Skyline Contracting: Invested in Our Community
At Skyline Contracting, we strive to be more than just a business. As a locally owned and operated company, we’re always looking to give back to the community we call home. After all, many of these organizations support our own families and friends—and we owe the success of our business to all of the people throughout our community who call on our services every day.
